Description

Belzona 3211 (Lagseal) is a single-component, liquid-applied roof waterproofing membrane for long-term roof protection with outstanding weatherproofing properties. This isocyanate-free roof coating will bond strongly to all types of roofing materials, following even complex roof contours, and will allow the surface to breathe due to its microporous structure. The applied system incorporates a reinforcement sheet to allow an easy control of the coating thickness during the application as well as adapting to roof movement due to its outstanding elasticity.

This water-based flexible membrane can be applied on almost any location including schools, hospitals and public buildings thanks to its low odour. It is certified by the BBA and has proven to provide excellent protection of roofs for in excess of 25 years.

The acrylic membrane, Belzona 3211 (Lagseal), works by creating a barrier in combination with Belzona 9321 (Reinforcement Sheets). Together, the product will create a water, UV, and fire-resistant coating for equipment due to the properties of its chemical composition. In addition to being water-resistant, the coating is micro-porous and allows the moisture from the substrate to evaporate.
The application of the isocyanate-free membrane, Belzona 3211 (Lagseal), depends on the substrate. Generally, the area must be sturdy, clean, dry, and free of loose material. There are two ways to apply Belzona 3211 (Lagseal). First, it can be applied using brushes, and second, an airless spray. When using a brush, apply a small patch of Belzona 3211 (Lagseal) to one area. While still wet, stipple a layer of Belzona 9321 (Lagseal Reinforcement Sheet). Wrap the sheet tightly around the insulation with minimum overlapping. Then, brush Belzona 3211 (Lagseal) through the sheet to give an even layer. Finally, after the first coating has dried, apply the second coat of Belzona 3211 (Lagseal). Otherwise, use airless spray equipment. A 32:1 pup unit supplied by an air pressure of 60 psi and combined with a spray tip of 0.015 ins to 0.020 ins is recommended. Thinning the product up to 20% may be required.
