Description

Belzona 7211 is a three-component, 100% solids, VOC free epoxy system suitable for deep pour grouting of large machine bases, setting large levelling wedges and sole plates. It offers rapid strength development, superior creep resistance, and minimal shrinkage.

This product is ideally suited for the repairs performed on horizontal surfaces where self-leveling capabilities are required. This grouting compound flows into the spaces under the large machinery and fills completely before solidifying.

Belzona 7211 is offered in two different flowability levels: standard and high to meet various application requirements.

  • High compressive strength
  • Rapid strength development, superior creep resistance, minimal shrinkage
  • Easy to apply regardless of the scale of the application
  • Application and cure at room temperature – no hot work involved
  • Excellent adhesion to a variety of substrates: concrete, brick, and steel
  • Provides a cost-effective solution for filling large machine bases, deep repairs in foundations, critical machine settings
  • Application and cure at room temperature – no hot work involve
  • Deep grout of large machine bases and critical machine settings: large baseplates, soleplates, skids of machinery such as motors, compressors, drums, vibrating screens, generators, pumps, drivers, rotating equipment
  • Reliable solid foundation systems to ensure the overall function of the equipment: compressors, satellite dishes, wind turbines, pumps
  • Installation of machinery anchor bolts
  • Repairs of damaged equipment foundation

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

The difference between grout and epoxy grout is the material they are made of. A conventional grout is composed of water, cement, and sand while an epoxy grout is composed of polymers.

The mixing ratio of the epoxy grout, Belzona 7211 is by weight and is as follows:
Base Solidifier Aggregate
Standard flow 4.6 1 41
High flow 4.6 1 33
Please see the Instructions for Use (IFU) for more information. Belzona 7211
To apply the machinery foundation system, Belzona 7211 prepare the surface. Generally, a clean and dry surface free of loose materials is needed. Then, mix the components. If the Base component has crystalized warm the Base up to 104-122°F (21-30°C) to melt the crystals and stir. After, mix the Solidifier into the Base container and mix thoroughly with a slow-speed drill mixer to avoid air entrapment. Next, immediately add the aggregates by transferring the liquid into a bucket, and with a slow-speed mechanical mixer running, slowly add the Aggregate into the resin mix until it is completely incorporated.   Build a formwork around the baseplate and foundation using rigid, nonabsorbent materials such as wood or metal. Apply Belzona 9411 (Release Agent) to the inside of the formwork and seal it with caulk/mastic or silicone to prevent leaks. Afterward, commence pouring as soon as possible after mixing. Allow it to flow across and under the baseplate. Finally, allow the product to cure. Please see the Instructions for Use (IFU) for more information. Belzona 7211
