Description

A fast-curing, 2-part, flexible expansion joint filler designed to provide effective sealing of construction and expansion joints on concrete, stone, brick and other surfaces. This solvent-free expansion joint sealant is a cost-effective and high performance alternative to conventional mastics and sealants, providing joints with up to ±12.5% flexibility and outstanding weather and chemical resistance. It does not require any hot work and cures quickly, ensuring a safe and easy application.

Belzona recommends using Belzona 4511 as an expansion joint sealant.
The mixing ratio of the concrete expansion joint filler, Belzona 4511 is 6.4:1 (Base: Solidifier) by weight and 5.1:1 (Base: Solidifier) by volume. Please see the Product Specification Sheet (PSS) for more information.
To apply the vertical expansion joint sealant, Belzona 4511, the surface must be clean, dry, and firm, and it must be free of rust, paint, and other surface coatings and contaminants. In addition, any new concrete must be dry and cured for at least 28 days. Condition the area using Belzona 4911 (Magma TX Conditioner). Next, use a mechanical mixer when mixing entire units. Pre-mix the Base in the container. With the mixer running, slowly add the Solidifier into the Base while ensuring the mixer drill scrapes the bottom and sides of the container to achieve an even consistency. Otherwise, to mix by hand, mix partial quantities of the Base and Solidifier. Then, apply the Belzona 4511 into the joint avoiding air entrapment. When the joint is filled, a suitable scraper should be used to remove any excess material. Finally, allow the product to cure. Please see the Instructions for Use (IFU) for more information.
