QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Concrete can be safeguarded using Belzona’s concrete protection coatings. These resurface the existing substrate and provide a protective barrier from physical impact, chemicals, and water.

To apply the two-part epoxy resin, Belzona 4151 (Magma-Quartz Resin), the surface must be clean, firm, and dry. New concrete should be allowed to cure for a minimum of 28 days. Next, to mix the material, empty the entire contents of the Base and Solidifier units into a suitable mixing vessel. Mix thoroughly for 3 minutes until a uniform mix is achieved. Then, apply the material with a good-quality brush. A second coat should be applied, as soon as possible without disturbing the first coat, but never after longer than three hours. Finally, allow the material to cure. Please see the Instructions for Use (IFU) for more information.
The cure time of the concrete grouting system, Belzona 4151 (Magma-Quartz Resin), is as follows:
Resist pedestrian traffic Full mechanical hardness Full chemical resistance
41 °F (5 °C) 16 hours 2 days 14 days
59 °F (15 °C) 6 hours 24 hours 10 days
77 °F (25 °C) 4 hours 16 hours 5 days
