Description

Belzona 4154 (Bulkfill Resin) is a 2-part, multi-purpose epoxy-based repair resin suitable for the rebuilding of concrete and stonework damaged by impact, vibration, chemicals, and environmental attack. Easily combined with locally sourced aggregates, Belzona 4154 provides a highly cost-effective solution, especially for large scale applications.

Belzona 4154 is ideally suited for repairs performed on horizontal surfaces as levelling material to fill large uneven areas, deep voids, gaps and cracks. This economical resin will bond strongly to most surfaces such as brick, concrete and natural stones.

To ensure high performance mandated by the operating conditions, Belzona 4154 must be overcoated with one of the Belzona products best suited for the application.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

An epoxy concrete repair kit is a package of epoxy resins and tools that are engineered to repair concrete and masonry surfaces.

For mixing small quantities of the concrete repair epoxy, Belzona 4154 (Bulkfill Resin), the mixing ratio by weight of the component is 6.7:1 (Base: Solidifier) or 6.7:1:53 (Base:Solidifier: Aggregate). In addition, the mixing ratio by volume is 6:1 (Base: Solidifier). Please see the Instructions for Use (IFU) for more information.
To apply the epoxy resin for concrete repair, Belzona 4154 (Bulkfill Resin), the surface must be clean, firm, and dry. New concrete should be allowed to cure for a minimum of 28 days. It is recommended to use a mechanical mixer due to the bulk and stiffness of the material. Next, to mix the material, empty the entire contents of the Base and Solidifier units into the mixing bucket while the mixer is running. Immediately with the mixer still running, slowly add the aggregate. Then, apply the material directly onto the prepared surface. First, spread to a general level using normal screeding techniques and then tap down firmly with a trowel or float to remove entrapped air, compact the material, and ensure maximum contact with the surface. Finally, allow the material to cure. Please see the Instructions for Use (IFU) for more information.
