Description

Belzona 1821 (Fluid Metal) is a 2-part high-performance coating designed for the repair and creation of positive grip systems on metallic surfaces of machinery, equipment, and walking areas. It can bond Belzona 9211 (Supergrip) and Belzona 9231 (Superfoot) to the surface of machinery and equipment. This solvent-free material is ideal where slip reduction, chemical, and wear resistance are required.

In addition, Belzona 1821 (Fluid Metal) is easy to mix and can be applied manually without the need for specialist tools. It will cure at room temperature, eliminating the need for hot work.

To ensure an effective molecular weld, only apply the anti-slip coating, Belzona 1821 (Fluid Metal), to clean, firm, dry, and well-roughened surfaces. To achieve this, firstly clear away any loose contamination and use Belzona 9111 (Cleaner/Degreaser) to clean and degrease the surface. Following this, roughen the surface by blast cleaning, deeply scoring, or grinding. Degrease the surface again, allowing the surface to dry before combining the reactive components. To do this, transfer the entire contents of the Solidifier can into the Base module. Mix thoroughly to achieve a uniform material free of any streakiness. Next, apply the Belzona 1821 (Fluid Metal) directly onto the prepared surface with a stiff-bristled brush or with the plastic applicator provided at the recommended coverage rate. Finally, mixing tools should be cleaned immediately after use with Belzona 9111 or any other effective solvent e.g., Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK). The cure time of the industrial coating, Belzona 1821 (Fluid Metal) varies depending on the ambient conditions. The cure time is as follows:

Overcoating is possible after a maxi 12 hours after the application of the first coating at an ambient temperature of 59-66°F/ 15-20°C.
